Asus has just presented its new family of ZenFone 5 devices at the Mobile World Congress in 2018. The two main exponents of this family are the new ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z, two mobiles that adopt some of the design lines seen on the iPhone X from Apple.
These are devices with almost identical components, but they differ mainly in the processors and their memory configurations. Special mention deserves the 5Z, a mobile with Snapdragon 845 processor at a price of only $ 570, although to be able to buy it we will still have to wait until summer.
And the new ZenFone 5 and 5Z have a design almost identical to the iPhone X. Its screen occupies virtually the entire front of the device, and we only noticed a small frame on the bottom and a Notch on the top that inevitably reminds us of from Apple. As for the screen itself, it is a 6.2-inch with FullHD + resolution and 19: 9 ratio.
The new ZenFone 5 equips Android 8.0 Oreo with the customization layer ASUS ZenUI 5.0, which is designed to adapt to the Notch and decide which elements of the notification bar are more important.
The Difference Is In the Processors
The main difference between both devices is in the processor. The ZenFone 5 uses the new Snapdragon 636 designed for the midrange with FullHD + resolutions. Asus claims to be the first manufacturer to launch a mobile phone with this processor and claims to have chosen it because it allows IA to be implemented in this range.
There are also differences in memory configurations. The ZenFone 5 will have configurations of 4 and 6 gigs of RAM with a storage of 64 GB. Meanwhile, the 5Z improves the offer by offering the possibility of uploading RAM up to 8 GB and offers the possibility of having up to 256 gigabytes of internal storage.
Versions and Prices of the Zenfone 5 and 5Z
The ZenFone 5Z will come in three versions with different configurations of RAM and internal storage. The first version will be the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, which will go on sale in June at a price of $ 570.
