Airtel vs. Jio less known recharge plans on data offers and talk time

Airtel and Reliance Jio two of the biggest telecom operators in India are head to head, adopting dynamic marketing strategies in order woo as numerous customers as possible. Both the telecom majors have hordes of offers ranging as little as Rs. 19 to Rs. 9,999. But all the rage is about the under Rs. 400 plans which the customers seemed to have invested more in it.

Airtel prepaid of Rs. 199 offers 39.2 GB of 3G/4G data having a daily limit of 1.4 GB with validity for 28 days along with local, STD and roaming voice calls and 100 SMS. The Rs. 249 offers similar features but enhanced data of 2GB of 3G/4G data per day with unlimited local, STD and roaming voice calls with the same amount of SMS and validity period. The Rs. 349 plan has also the same validity of 28 days and increased total data of 84 GB which gives 2.5 GB data usage and has no charges for roaming calls.

Reliance on the other hand has more dynamic plans to choose from and provide very attractive offers. With the Rs. 149 plan giving a total of 42GB of 4G data for 28 days with a daily restriction of 1.5 GB data usage with unlimited call for voice roaming, STD and local, 100 SMS and Jio app subscriptions.

The Rs. 198 plan has the same validity period with increased data of 56 GB with the usage of 2GB daily and same voice call and SMS offers, the Rs. 299 plan also offering the same except with increased data of 84GB with a daily limit of 3GB. The Rs. 349 plan, Rs. 398 plan and Rs. 399 offer the same but the data increases to 105 GB with the daily limit of 1.5 GB, 140 GB with daily usage of 2GB and 126 GB with the limit of 1.5 GB respectively.

The validity period being 70 days for the Rs. 349 and Rs. 398 plan and 84 days for the Rs. 399. Apart from this Jio above the Rs. 400 mark offers plans for Rs. 509 plan and Rs. 799 plan. The Rs. 509 plan offers 112GB data for 28 days with  a daily limit of 4GB and the Rs. 799 plan will give you 5GB of data usage per day along with free calls.

Both Airtel and Reliance Jio are arch rivals in the telecom sector and the competition is never ending with both of the entities offering one plan over the other. But analyzing the same we can observe that Reliance Jio gives the buyer more options to choose from while Airtel plans are packed in and tries to give less offers for a similar utility who have not preferred to venture into the strategy of choice creation for the consumer.
