OnePlus 6 Update – Date, Price, Camera, Battery, Screen and Features

OnePlus is a Chinese phone maker and it is well known in the World of Mobile Devices for being a premium and high-end mobile manufacturer always sporting top of the line hardware, almost bleeding edge, and the best part about OnePlus is that it does all that so much less than Apple and Samsung.

OnePlus 6 comes to replace the OnePlus 5 and 5T, the announcement was made earlier this year, that the Chinese giant would be moving forward with their Flagship release sometime in the summer and further updates in the fall and all fingers point at the OnePlus 6 to be the one.

Something that has fans of the Manufacturer and enthusiasts alike rising an eye brown, is the admission by OnePlus of having a narrow black notch running side-to-side on the top of the screen, much like the iPhone X, the Huawei P20, and the Asus ZenFone5. Besides being of the most heated debate topics amongst phone design fans, the notch serves to house the front-facing sensors and the frontal cameras.

Another great feature to be introduced on the OnePlus 6 is that it will have the biggest screen size and resolution of any OnePlus release to the date, with a dazzling 6.2 inches screen, and it will come with a “chin” or bezel.

According to OnePlus CEO, Peter Lau it has been confirmed that the OnePlys 6 will be released sometime in the second quarter of 2018 and consider that the OnePlus 5 came out in June 2017, it can be expected for its successor to be released in the same month.

One major concern everyone had back when the announcement and leaked information was made public, is that the phone would look like the Oppo R15, this is due to the fact that OnePlus is owned by the same company as Oppo, BBK Electronics, and in the past there has always being a similarity between the two brands, a more recent example was how similar the OnePlus 5 look like the Oppo R11, and then the 5T and the Oppo R11S were practically exact replicas of each other.

So, when Oppo announce the upcoming release of the Oppo R15, everyone expected the OnePlus 6 to look the same, however, the responsible behind OnePlus have promised this won’t happen.
