one major catch of Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+ is the preinstalled application or the third-party applications that are present in it. These applications enhance the experience of mobile phone users and add to the quality of the phone. Soon the Samsung customer will get more of these third-party applications or what is generally called bloatware.
Samsung struck a deal with today Verizon’s outlet subsidiary Oath, in this deal Today Verizon’s subsidiary Oath has agreed to put four of the apps made by the company into the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+. The apps that are to be incorporated in the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ are Oath newsroom, Yahoo sports(an app which gives a live update on all the sport), Yahoo finance, Go90. Since Yahoo is now owned by the company Oath all these yahoo apps will be provided in Samsung S9 and S9+ with Oath’s permission.
These apps will contain native adds in its content. To increase the appeal of ads, the adds will be complementary with the content so that it could easily blend in with the app content. But it will not compromise with the experience of the user, the content will seamless. The CEO of Oath Tim Armstrong told the media that through bringing the ads on the app these advertisements will get closer to the customers and this will also multiply the appeal of the advertisements. Since the ads will be present in the app environment the customers will not be able to dodge it. This will increase the impact of the advertisement. The revenue that will be collected by these adds will be shared equally among Samsung and the Oath.
These preinstalled apps or the third party apps which will be provided by Oath to Samsung S9 and S9+ will be available for the US market only for now. But after some time and after seeing the response of customers in US market these apps will be made available globally. But for these apps to be present on the phone, Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will have a storage of 64 GB.
