Vicky Kaushal-the hero who shined with his Excellent Performances in Sanju & Raazi

Unknowingly Vicky Kaushal, an emerging Bollywood actor, has grabbed all our attention from his excellent performance in his recent movies like Raazi and Sanju. Without even knowing him, his movies from Netflix and Bollywood are all being loved. He is raising his bar of performance with no signs of stopping. His role as Kamli, Sanjay Dutt’s friend in Sanju and opposite Alia Bhatt in Raazi has smashed all the box office records. He is one of those actors who has made a smooth transition from Bollywood to Netflix and back to it. He is soon going to one of the bankable actors of the young generation. Some more of his work that should be appreciated are:-

  1. Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana

This 2012 hit comedy film with Huma Qureshi and Kunal Kapoor as lead roles also featured Vicky in a minor role. It was directed by Sameer Sharma.  It seemed to be a small step towards Bollywood. Vicky played the role of younger Omi.

  1. Geek Out

In 2013, “Geek out” an English short film of about 10 minutes featuring Vicky Kaushal, Neha Chauhan, Anand Jagdish and Sanjay Ram was released. It was directed by Mozez Singh. Here, Vicky played a role of the Geek.

  1. Bombay Velvet

In 2015, “Bombay Velvet” a movie based on Mumbai Fables, a book by historian Gyan Prakash was released. It was directed by Anuray Kashyap and the lead roles were Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar whereas Kaushal played a minor role.

  1. Masaan

In 2015, Dheeraj Dhaywan made his debut film Masaan. It is also known as “Fly Away Solo” in English. It was Vicky Kaushal’s first debut as a lead role in Bollywood. It starred Vicky kaushal, Sanjay Mishra and Richa Chadda. It was the time from when Kaushal started his real journey towards success.

  1. Zubaan

Zubaan, an Indian musical drama film released in 2016. It was directed by Mozez Singh and starred Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias. The film was based on a story of young boy, who overcame his fear and regain his faith in music.

  1. Raman Raghav 2.0

In 2016, Anurag Kashyap directed Raman Raghav 2.0 starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal and Sobhita Dhulipala. The film was inspired by the real life killer of 1960’s, Raman Raghav who operated in Mumbai in those times. It is internationally well-known as “Psycho Raman”. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the role of Ramanna, a titular character and Kaushal played the role of ACP Raghavan Singh, who is determined of getting Ramanna held down.

 

  1. Love Per Square Foot (Netflix)

In 2018, Anand Tiwari directed Love per Square Foot, an Indian romantic comedy film.

It starred Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar. Kaushal as Sanjay Chaturvedi and Angira as Karina wishes to buy a big house in Mumbai. Later, Sanjay and Karina plan to opt for a loan as a couple according to the housing scheme.

  1. Lust Stories (Netflix)

This movie stars Vicky Kaushal and was released in 2018. The story is concerning a couple, where the husband is not able to satisfy her newly wedded wife in bedroom.
